About Wish Partner Chapter 1
Chapter Summary
Han Taemin returns from military service carrying the emotional and physical burden of his past relationship. After considering risky reduction surgery, he reconnects with his older acquaintance Minji and crosses paths with Lim Hyena, a department beauty who clearly resents him. A rumor about a wish-granting statue gives Taemin a desperate alternative, sending him up the mountain to confront the problem he believes ruined his love life. His private wish takes an unexpected turn when someone else appears.
Chapter Review
Wish Partner Chapter 1 blends adult romance, awkward comedy, and a surprisingly vulnerable character setup. Taemin’s insecurity drives the chapter, while Minji’s teasing and Hyena’s sharp hostility create lively tension. The pacing moves from backstory to social friction before building toward a humorous cliffhanger that sets up the central wish-partner premise.
