About You Are My XX

Story Overview

You Are My XX is an ongoing adult BL romance manhwa centered on Choi Doyoung, a 28-year-old team leader who has never dated. Ten years earlier, while attending Hanyul High School, Doyoung abruptly left school because of family circumstances. On a day when he felt especially sentimental, he wandered onto the usually locked rooftop and encountered someone there—an encounter that remained in his memory for the decade that followed. The story then moves to Doyoung’s present-day office life, where he appears disciplined, punctual, and demanding of his team as they face the pressure of year-end reports and deadlines. His routine changes when Kang Hanjin, a managing director returning from an overseas business trip, arrives at headquarters. Hanjin’s intense stare and strange familiarity unsettle Doyoung, who cannot understand why the executive seems to be following him or trying to get his attention. The central tension grows from the contrast between Doyoung’s controlled professional image, his unresolved past, and Hanjin’s unexplained connection to him. Meanwhile, Doyoung’s private desires reveal that his solitary habits are no longer enough to keep emotional and physical longing at a distance.

Why Readers May Like You Are My XX

The series combines workplace romance with a reunion mystery, using a past encounter to add emotional weight to an otherwise tense present-day setting. Its tone shifts between reflective drama, awkward comedy, and mature romantic tension. Doyoung’s dry reactions to office gossip and Hanjin’s unsettling behavior give the story a lively, self-aware edge, while memories of school, family hardship, and loss create a more serious foundation beneath the attraction. The pacing builds through small confrontations: an unexpected return to the office, a charged exchange after work, and Doyoung’s growing suspicion that Hanjin is not a stranger after all. Readers drawn to adult BL stories with workplace friction, hidden history, unresolved recognition, and a gradual collision between public composure and private desire may find its blend of mystery and intimacy compelling.

Characters & Story Focus

Choi Doyoung is presented as a capable but tightly wound team leader. He is responsible at work, arrives early, and expects accountability, yet his inner thoughts show insecurity, loneliness, and frustration with being single at 28. His history includes leaving Hanyul High School during a family crisis and enduring the loss of his mother, experiences that help explain his guarded nature. Kang Hanjin enters as a returning managing director whose behavior immediately disrupts Doyoung’s routine. He watches Doyoung closely, follows him after their first workplace meeting, and asks whether they have met before. Their connection is not fully explained in the available chapter, but the rooftop memory strongly suggests that their present encounter is tied to something that happened ten years earlier.
