Chapter Review
This opening chapter blends adult fantasy with workplace comedy and awkward romantic tension. The pacing is brisk, moving from a chaotic failure to Mia’s uncertain search for employment. Her desire for an emotional connection gives the protagonist a more sympathetic conflict, while the interview scene creates an intriguing direction for the story without resolving everything at once.
