About Care for a Rematch in This Life Chapter 2
Chapter Summary
Chapter 2 follows Yong Sayong as memories of his past life deepen the confusion surrounding his relationship with Wang Ma-yeon. Once the Hero and Demon King, they were sworn enemies, yet their present feelings appear impossible to deny. While Sayong struggles with guilt, identity, and uncertainty about their future, Ma-yeon wrestles with similarly conflicting emotions. A casual invitation from a club junior adds another layer of tension, leaving both characters increasingly unsettled.
Chapter Review
This chapter balances dramatic fantasy flashbacks with awkward campus comedy and mature romantic tension. The pacing moves between introspection, jealousy, and playful provocation, keeping the central conflict personal rather than purely mythical. Sayong and Ma-yeon both show vulnerability as their past-life roles clash with their present attraction, creating a charged setup for the next chapter.
